C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative is committed to foster a culture of health, wellness and economic success through collaboration that supports high school girls, college and women locally, nationally and globally in making educated and informed decisions about their health care and career trajectories for them to thrive in their social, economic and political spheres.

Through social outreach, community involvement, edutainment and access to volunteer mentor network, C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative provides high school girls, women college students and women from low income neighborhoods in our community with an opportunity to experience profound transformative learning experiences in their lives. Other than training workshops, community women business expo events, field trips, seminars and talk shows, they meet and connect with outstanding women entrepreneurs in and outside our community.

 Our Purpose

It is well established mentoring matters. A 2017 study by professional services firm Egon Zehnder found that only 54% of women have access to senior leaders who act as mentors or informal sponsors in their career.

A new study from Ernst & Young (EY) found that America's most successful women entrepreneurs are finding financial success through building communities of support and becoming therole models they never had.

According to the 2012 US Census 39% nationally, 37.5% Indiana and .02% St. Joseph County businesses are women owned - entrepreneural.

Girls, college women and women in low income areas lack access to successful women entrepreneurs in their community to assist them along their career path.  In fact, they do not even see entrepreneurship as a career option. This is significant because the economic foundation of the U.S. rests on 89% of small businesses that employ less than 20 employees.

2014 Annual EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Impact Study most women report not having positive female role models in the entrepreneurial world and 60% of women entrepreneurs don’t have advisory boards to provide guidance.

According to the UN Chronicle along with all international  health agencies lifestyle diseases are on the rise. Lifestyle diseases share risk factors similar to prolonged exposure to three modifiable lifestyle behaviours -- smoking, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity -- and result in the development of chronic diseases, specifically heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and some types of cancer. This is due these obsticles: health, wellness nutrition education, access to healthy foods and lack of awareness of local and federal programs.

We call it our Nutri-preneur Program fellowship                                                                           Women Entrepreneurship + Nutrition Mindset = Nutripreneur

"In developing my entrepreneural idea having a women mentor helped me understand things that will not only help me with my business but also later in life. I feel having a women mentor helped me see things from another perspective.  She gave me information that I would have never thought of myself. "  Shaylene T.

"A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself."  - Oprah Winfry
