We not only recognize their leadership potential, we inspire them to dream big, focus on the next steps and to realize their potential as entrepreneurs in the field of nutrition, health and wellness through women mentoring.

 Our Stories

Everyone has a story.  Our story begins with girls and women seeking to learn about entrepreneurship early in their career decision making.  Through mentoring by successful women entrepreneurs each participant learns about entrepreneurship best practices, builds self-esteem,  increases problem solving, organizational and leadershp abilities. It fosters creativity and supports economic stability.  

Our stories also  includes the Expo for Women as a place to test entrepreneurial skills learned during our girls and women mentor fellowship program while helping our community get healthier. We'd like to share with you some of our stories of success.

By joining C2 Your Health Women's Initiative you will be not only assist in supporting a successful women entrepreneur mentoring program by positively impacting lifestyle diseases such a chronic disease and obesity. You will be giving back to the communities where the mentors and mentees live by providing the opportunity for health and wellness education through small groups teaching nutrition, health and wellness education classes, cooking classes and grocery store scavenger hunts.  Plus, workshops on whole food nutrition, growing gardens in sustainable ways and how to teach others to be ambassadors of healthy living. Julie Ortega-Schmitt MD 

Cindy Cohen RN, BS BA  

Cindy Cohen is the President of C2 Your Health Women's Initiative. Cindy is a Wellness Consultant, Certified Health Coach, WELCOA Faculty member and revieved the 2016 nomination for Top 50 Health Promotion Professional.  She is also a Published Book Author, National Speaker and the founder of C2 Your Health LLC.  

Julie Ortega - Schmitt M.D. 

Dr. Ortega-Schmitt graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1994. She works in Notre Dame, IN and specializes in Family Medicine. Dr. Ortega-Schmitt is affiliated with Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Kimberly Perry

Kimberly Perry is currently the Executive Director of the World Feeding Project a non-profit organization. She is  President, Perry Publishing and Fresh Lifestyle Magazine and a Certified Nutrition Coach, Fresh Chef, Book Author and Community Workshop Leader on Nutrition and Clean Eating for better health. 

Paula Sours

Paula Sours graduated  from the SPARK Program at Saint Mary's College. Paula has been a role model for the courage and strength to step out and do what she's dreamed of for many years. With all the support from the mentors, facilitators, score and all others involved in this program. Paula knows she does not stand alone and has been the leading edge to launching her new business. 

Sonal Dhuper M. D. 

Sonal Dhuper, MD, specializes in Internal and Obesity Medicine who has always thought that doctors have a special opportunity within their careers to make a positive, long lasting difference in peoples’ lives. As a bariatrician who works with patients battling obesity and weight loss, she enjoys partnering with her patients to help them make long lasting change and achieve a healthier quality of life.  

Laura Guy

Laura Guy is a result-driven leader who has successfully managed the growth of many nonprofit organizations.  She is  accomplished in leading fundraising, marketing & public relations campaigns and managing successful events. Laura is the former Corporate Director Midwest States at American Heart Association. 

Rachel Meredith MS Ed

Rachel Meredith is School Psychologist who works with children and adults to focus on their long term goals based on their definition of success. She also utilized behavioral techniques to help children develop skills which are necessary in life.  She incorporates health and wellness education in all of her treatment plans to create a healthy mind and body. She lives with her therapy dog in Brooklyn, NY. 

Aaron Cohen PA

Aaron Cohen been a practicing Physician Assistant since 2006. Aaron has previously worked in the the field of Pain Management, Spine/Neuro Surgery and currently in Rheumatology. Aaron enjoys being involved it the treatment of patients and helping to improve their quality of life with a variety of treatment modalities. Aaron and his family living in sunny Florida practices healthy living habits and encourages his patients to do the same.
